The shear number of people at the La Cresenta Women’s Club on January 15, 2012 was a serious crowd. The tables were full and all were attentive while Buddy’s friends shared some inspirational moments including the Jim Beam toasts! Cracked me up when a friend addressed Buddy both in the sky and in the ground as he finished up, just to cover both bases. LOL! The meatballs and weenies were superb. The pasta salad and potato salad, it was all there. Deserts, yum. There was a shitload of Coors Lite and some good wine. (I had wine.) Umm, I believe it’s against the rules to be imbibing at the WC. Tsk, tsk tsk. Wish Caryl had started the bike in there. Oooh there would have been hell to pay. I know the Warners from the Giant Desert Ride, where there are NO women allowed, so it was interesting to see the other halves. Sadly, the only one missing was the Star of the party but we had some fun in his honor!
